Today I got a blizzard for my birthday! Over 3 feet of snow came in last night, so much that our entire state was snowed in! Here's a link to the beginnings of an album of photos - I'm taking lots, since we'll probably (hopefully?!) never experience snow like this again. Anyway, it was a pretty low-key birthday - the two highlights were opening an awesome bday box from my mom and opening the following letter from my girl.
Lara has just figured out the concept of letter writing. She likes to "write" a letter by having us write down everything she says, word for word. This is the first letter she's ever written to me! Daddy took her upstairs and they did it together as a surprise...best - and funniest - present ever (although I'm holding out for that silk shirt...)

Dear Mommy,
You have a very special birthday. We love you, Mommy. I will make you a silk shirt. You are so pretty. You play with me every day. You have a baby. Her name is Louisa Clare. I have Aslan (he roars). You love me. I love that you gave me a beautiful pink room. You clean the house. Louisa has a lion, too.
Love,
Lara
One other birthday highlight - when I was tucking her in for bed she said, "Mommy, I love you more than ice cream and icebergs." Love her, love her, love her!!
so great!!!! i hope the letter writing continues!! Happy birthday, Julie!!
